An interesting question, no? Myreggae is a community where the whole world can share reggae music with each other. It is for the band in Jamaica, Argentina or Venezuela or Europe or Asia or anywhere in the world to post their music and info about their music so they can share it with reggae fans worldwide. You can sell you music or choose to give it away. Or both. And then we will link people to your myspace site or other site of your choosing.

It is about building a bridge to the future where the exchange of music and ideas will stimulate the mind. It really is about freedom.

It is for new artists and established artists. Another way to reach your fans. We ask you to become a part of this community and build upon something we can all be proud of. The time is now.

Soon you will be able to upload your own music MP3s and info about you as an artist. We have big plans on how this site will grow and enable more direct artist interaction. It’s coming.

In the meantime feel free to contact us and let us know how we can improve and better serve you.

After close to a year of working on a vision for the future, the MyReggae.com site is finally launched. And it feels just like when a rocket ship launches into space.

You cannot believe the amount of work and thought that goes into making a vision become reality.

I want to thank all the good people at Loud Feed, including Ron, Prabode, Julia, and Bill. And all the reggae people who have supported me and RAS records over the years whose names are far too many to mention. But you know who you are.

And not forgetting my immediate family: Deb, Eric and Ian. Thanks for allowing me to be who I am and stay true to my reggae mission.

This is just the beginning. As we move forward together you will see the many incredible functions this wonderful site will be performing. New, fresh out of the studio recordings. Exclusive dub versions exclusively available on MyReggae.com. And something that I am most excited about. That MyReggae will be a platform for reggae artists all around the world to post their music either for sale or for free so music fans can get to know new and undiscovered music at a site I want them to feel is their home for reggae music.

We will always endeavor to improve ourselves and make this the site our customers feel good about. So get involved and let us know what it is you like about MyReggae and what we can do to make it better.

There are an infinite number of ways to get music onto your iPod or other MP3 player. We’ll be publishing additional posts for the PC version and other approaches.

To start with create a new empty folder on your computer where you collect your new purchases.

To help you get started, we’ll give you this song for free! Download (right click + “save as”) Camp Yard by Joseph Hill from the Album “Pass the Torch.” MyReggae.com sells top quality 320 kbps MP3’s, so the files are larger and take longer to download. Please be patient.

Having a problem downloading the MP3 link above?

You can save from the download click with a right mouse click:
For Mac one button mouse hold down “CTRL” key and click.

Windows Internet Exploder – select “Save Target As …”

Windows or Mac with Firefox – select “Save Link As …”

Mac with Safari “Download Linked File As …”

Your browser will prompt you for where to store it.Next open iTunes.
You can download iTunes and install it easily.

Then, select “File > Add to Library” from the main menu.

If you have a lot of music in your library your newly purchased music could get lost, so I always like to create a new playlist for my new purchases.

In the image below I have already clicked the “+” plus sign in the lower left to create a new playlist. It appears highlighted as “untitled playlist.” I am naming my new playlist as “MyReggae.”

After naming the playlist, then see the graphic below and:

click the automatically created playlist (1) “Recently added”

Click on the song you want (2) “Camp Yard”

Keep the mouse button down to “click and drag” the song into your new list (3) “MyReggae.”
